The Hawaii Nature Center allows its visitors a chance to step outside and into the lush foliage of Iao Valley rainforests. The center is located west of Wailuku, past Hopoi Village and Wailuku Heights. Visitors will love The Rainforest Walk, a moderately difficult excursion that takes you along the historic footpaths of ancient Hawaiian civilizations, all led by a knowledgeable guide that will point out native plants, as well as remnants of the ancient buildings.
